Cateract Egrets

Painting

Cateract Egrets

This is a very rare and very fragile original signed painting by listed Washington State artist John Paul Morgan. The work is a wonderful masterpiece by this accomplished artist who is best known for his print-making and measures about 20 x 15 inches framed. Because of the texture of the painting, it appears to be oil applied over thin paper. You will note in the photos a number of condition issues with both the painting and the original vintage frame. The paper is extremely thin and fragile, with a noticeable crease running vertically near the center of the painting. The paper in the upper right hand corner is separating from the backing and while still in tact at the moment, there appears to be a crack or tear in the paper measuring about inches, which may have to be restored by an art restoration expert after purchase.
